Capital Campaign
Help create a new home for Veterans, Servicemembers and Their Families in Northwest Colorado
The Veterans Center is excited to report that we have raised $2.9 million towards our overall goal of $3 million for the renovation of the former VFW building at 924 Lincoln Avenue, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and the conversion to our new home. Many of you have already made a contribution; we’re asking for you to consider helping us raise the remaining funds to finish our capital fundraising campaign in record time.
Note that The Veterans Center is an Enterprise Zone Program project, one of the few 501c3s in the Yampa Valley. The Enterprise Zone Program provides for a 25% Colorado State Tax Credit for eligible donations. The Veterans Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN#88-4352169, and the Enterprise Zone tax credit would be in addition to donations that are tax deductible under Internal Revenue Code Section 170.
We thank you in advance for your support of our military servicemen and women – those who are currently serving and those who have served in the past.
This project has been awarded a Rural Revitalization Grant subgrant from Colorado Preservation Inc. Restoration/Preservation/Rehabilitation of The Veterans Center is being supported in part by a grant from the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grants Program from the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior in partnership with Colorado Preservation, Inc.
