Joint Legion and VFW Post meeting.

The meeting will take place after the VA Town Hall which is from 3:30 to 4;30 p.m.  at the Veterans Center.  Dinner will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:00 p.m.  THIS IS AN HOUR EARLIER THAN NORMAL so it should be daylight for going home after the meeting.

This meeting is important for the Legion as this is the election of Officers for the 2026-2027 year.  John Briggs is heading up the nominating committee; and if you are interested in an office, you need to contact him or Jim Stanko.  We really need to get a new and enthusiastic group of officers for the coming year.

Finally, this meeting will be the final planning for Memorial Day which the Legion has since 1922 been a major part of honoring our fallen veterans.  This is a tradition that now brings over 100 members of the public to the cemetery, so we need to keep it going.  If you can help we need volunteers to sign up now so let Jim know if you can help.  Memorial Day is Monday May 25th.
