A flag retirement ceremony will take place on Saturday Oct. 5th from 11:00 a.m. to noon with a pot luck lunch to follow.  Veterans attending need to bring a side dish or desert.  This event is mostly for members of VFW Post 4264 and Legion Post 44 and spouses.  We have just over 100 flags to retire plus any flags members bring.    With the amount of flags that are being turned in to retire, the VFW and Legion will be trying to do two flag retirement ceremonies a year, one in the fall and one in the spring at the Warhorse Ranch.  This is an important and solemn event that post members need to participate in.
