DESCRIPTION:Joint Legion and VFW Post meeting. \nThe meeting will take place after the VA Town Hall which is from 3:30 to 4;30 p.m.  at the Veterans Center.  Dinner will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:00 p.m.  THIS IS AN HOUR EARLIER THAN NORMAL so it should be daylight for going home after the meeting. \nThis meeting is important for the Legion as this is the election of Officers for the 2026-2027 year.  John Briggs is heading up the nominating committee; and if you are interested in an office\, you need to contact him or Jim Stanko.  We really need to get a new and enthusiastic group of officers for the coming year. \nFinally\, this meeting will be the final planning for Memorial Day which the Legion has since 1922 been a major part of honoring our fallen veterans.  This is a tradition that now brings over 100 members of the public to the cemetery\, so we need to keep it going.  If you can help we need volunteers to sign up now so let Jim know if you can help.  Memorial Day is Monday May 25th.

DESCRIPTION:The Legion\, VFW and Vet Center Board members will pass out candy in front of the Vet. Center building during the annual Halloween Stroll.  We need at least 3 or 4 volunteers to help set up the tent and pass out candy from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and at least 2 or 3 to pass out candy and take the tent down from about 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  Jeff Steck is in charge so please let him know by email if you can help.  djsteck11@gmail.com\n\nBe aware that parking may be a problem as they close main street at 2:00 p.m. so you will need to park on one of the side streets.
